Club Charter Night was March11, 1967 at Coach House Hotel.
The "famous" Gold Jackets were chosen as the official Club uniform.
The first Easter Egg Hunt was held in 1967, and continues
to the present as an annual event.
The first Community day was held in 1967. Over the years it became
the King Neptune Carnival, and was put on by the Club until 1992.
Members were very involved in the creation of the Lions Gate Medical
Research Foundation.
1967 saw the debut of the "almost world famous" Club Band that provided
fun and entertainment into the new millennium. Club meetings were held
at Sey-Lyn Hall, and catered by Lions Ladies (wives of members).

Mount Seymour Lions host sanctioned flat motorcycle races at PNE in 1976-77.

We hosted our first Japanese students in the North Shore Youth Exchange.
This program continues to the present, with a number of Canadian students
spending four weeks with Japanese host families, and Japanese students
being hosted by families here at the same time.
Garey Ham is Zone Chairman in 1971/72.
Mount Seymour hosted the District Conference at the Coach House in 1972.
A scholarship was established for Windsor High School. Over time the
scholarship program grew to include. Seycove Secondary as well. The
program continues today.
Joe Thornley is Zone Chairman in 1973/74.
Some of the social and fundraising events in this first decade included
the sale of light bulbs and carnations, and lots of fun at casino nights,
and Bavarian beer nights.
