Who we are and what we do...
Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community. Mount Seymour Lions Club, Chartered in 1966, is one of 46,000 clubs in 193 countries.

"You can't get very far until you start
doing something for someone else".
Melvin Jones,
Founder of Lions Clubs International
Our programs vary and are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve". In addition to hosting numerous community-based fund raisers our club was responsible or the construction of three family housing projects in the Parkgate area and a seniors building in Deep Cove.

We continue to manage these units as well as a senior's complex in Horseshoe Bay – providing 244 low cost housing units to needy North Shore residents. We hold dinner meetings twice a month where our members enjoy fellowship and conduct our club's business.
We also socialize and interact with other Lions through club visitations, Conventions and Forums at which we proudly wear our gold jackets – a Mount Seymour Lions Club tradition.
