All the kids join Mrs. Santa in singing while the choir looks on

Mount Seymour Lions Club has been putting on a Breakfast with Santa for over 30 years. The 2010 edition took place at Parkgate Community Centre where pancake and sausage breakfasts, with all the trimmings, were served to over 500 people.

Steamy cooks

The club and Parkgate Community Services have developed an excellent partnership with this event in recent years and it has evolved into a fun community happening. The Lions do all the cooking and serving for the two sittings and students from three local elementary schools decorate the hall, set and clean up tables, and help out in a number of ways. This year the fifty five voice Seycove Secondary Choir performed at both sittings. Mrs. Santa came on stage, sang and had all the kids singing and playing along until Santa arrived. While the kids visited with Santa, club member Wilf Fawcett led the Mount Seymour Deep Cove band in providing traditional Christmas musical entertainment.

Lots of fun for everyone there and all net proceeds are donated back to the school organizations involved.
